Deciding to Design in the Browser

People have been discussing the merits of designing in the browser long before I even stepped into the wide world of web design, and I've read plenty of people waxing lyrical about the way designing in the browser has improved their designs, saved them time, cured their ailments, brought them to a higher plain of consciousness, and so on and so forth. But until recently I was content to admire designing in the browser from afar - I didn't think it would be a good fit for me. Like many people, I questioned how I could manage to implement this new process, and if I would be any good at it.
